John J. Bergeron, Esq., Bergeron Paradis & Fitzpatrick LLP
I have had the pleasure of co-counseling cases with Karen on several occasions, and I value her skill and expertise when it comes to medical records, medical research, and the ability to work with our medical experts. Perhaps one of the most valued skills for those who practice in the area of medical negligence is to know when to go forward with a claim, and when to inform a client that they are unlikely to prevail. Karen invests the time and effort in researching every claim under review so that clients are given realistic advice of the likely outcome in advance of filing a suit. For all these reasons, I look forward to working with Karen in the future.

I have known Karen both as an attorney to whom I have referred cases, and also as a fellow attorney to share ideas and strategize with. She has done a great job on the cases I have referred to her, getting tremendous results. This included a case that was rejected by several other attorneys before it got to me and then my referring it to Karen. She is an excellent attorney with a great knowledge of the law, and obviously really cares about her clients.

Karen took extra time to help my family navigate a very unfamiliar and stressful territory. She sat with us on many occasions and answered all of our questions with patience and knowledge. We felt lucky to have aligned with such a dedicated attorney and felt validated by her belief in our case. Most importantly we trusted that Karen would fight for us in a way we were unable to do for ourselves. She was not afraid to see past the roadblocks that emerged and went the extra mile to deliver us a celebrated outcome and a huge sigh of relief.

When a diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer is confronted, many things run through your mind. You are angry at so many things and that anger can take over. You realize that you are facing a very tough fight with an uncertain outcome.
Some might choose to focus on themselves. We chose to try to find a way to help those who might be faced with this struggle in the future; some way to make sure others would be treated more appropriately.
We had a suspicion that something was missed by the doctors and radiologists early on that led up to the diagnosis. At our first meeting with Karen Allen, we felt that she was the person who might be able to help with our concerns. We developed a trust with her that was based on honesty and sincere concern. She employed the best specialists in the field and her attention to detail was remarkable. Having no experience in this area, she led us through the process with clarity and purpose. As we moved forward, a bond of trust and respect formed; a bond that is still intact today.
We were very fortunate to have Karen Allen as our attorney and even more fortunate to call her a friend.

It has been a pleasure to work with Karen Allen on several medical negligence cases. Her nursing background has been a significant asset in our co-counseling on those cases. She combines her medical knowledge with a strong work ethic and genuine caring for her clients, to provide excellent representation. Representing victims of medical negligence requires an advocate who is skilled, caring and bright. Karen offers all of those attributes and I am happy to recommend her.
